Beef Bourguignon

Inspired by a French chef at a beautiful hotel in the Yorkshire Dales!  My husband and I were on a business holiday (similar to a bus-man’s!).  When we eat out we like to choose something different to each other so we can try two dishes!  I chose Beef Bourguignon with celeriac mash, and I wasn’t disappointed.  Just everything a Beef Bourg should be…. And just like ours…Mouth-watering chunks of British beef slowly cooked in red wine with mushrooms, shallots, thyme and smoked back bacon. This rich and comforting Beef Bourguignon is best enjoyed with a side of our delicious Potato Dauphinoise and a glass of red….enjoy!
