Potato Dauphinoise

When I was young I spent many a happy day with my best friend, Susie, in school holidays or lazy Saturday’s.  Susie is one of 7 children and her Mum, Thelma, was always cooking up some lovely dishes in her Aga…the homely smells filling the warm kitchen.  One particular dish I remember was Thelma’s ‘secret recipe’ sliced potato bake.  The main reason it was secret was because it was never made the same way twice!  We think we’ve nearly perfected it!

Something magical happens when you bake potatoes, and this could be the most magical recipe of them all. Our Potato Dauphinoise has a roasted garlic cream and Gruyère cheese topping which makes it pure luxury. A perfect side for our Beef Bourguignon and a cracking side for a roast dinner. There’s no need to slave away making roast potatoes now…enjoy!
